Meet the Team
Leon Smucker
FOUNDER & CEO
Leon’s passion for woodworking and custom cabinetry began at a young age, rooted in his Amish heritage and his father’s log cabin business. As a young man, he discovered a love for more detailed carpentry as he mastered building custom cabinets and trim carpentry. Over the past decade, he has developed a well-rounded skill set in the cabinetry field, including cabinet building, on-site installation, and design work. Leon believes in showing value and respect to every client. His attention to detail ensures that every project meets the highest standards. His journey from hands-on craftsmanship to founding his own cabinetry company is driven by his passion for excellence in relationships. He is dedicated to creating custom cabinetry that reflects the unique style and needs of each client.
Beyond his professional life, Leon’s passions include raising his six children (2 boys and four girls) and leaving a legacy through his children. He is also deeply committed to seeing youth, especially those from broken backgrounds and families, mentored and discipled to live healthy and thriving lives. On weekends, you can find him playing or watching baseball and enjoying the outdoors as a weekend lumberjack at his home.
Michelle Haddock
Partner Development
With her love for connections and background in both marketing and design, Michelle stepped into business development to help grow and support the Legacy community. She comes from a long line of creatives, which shaped her instinct for craftsmanship, design and meaningful collaboration—qualities that help her connect easily with clients and partners alike. Outside of work, she enjoys hosting friends, hiking, and kayaking.
Caitlin Gilhuys
Kitchen Designer
Caitlin guides clients through layout and selections with a warm, down-to-earth style and a strong eye for detail. She fell in love with design as a child, spending time on job sites with her dad and learning how spaces come together. This led her to pursue further education in Interior Design. Her experience as a senior designer overseeing full renovations brings both vision and follow through to each project. When she’s not working, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family--preferably outdoors—whether it’s catching a concert, strolling around a farmers' market, or digging into yard work.
Liam Jungles
Project Manager
From preparing estimates to coordinating schedules, Liam ensures every detail is in place leading up to cabinetry delivery. Prior to joining Legacy, Liam obtained a degree in entrepreneurship while competing in collegiate athletics at Liberty University. His background in customer service and team leadership, combined with his sharp focus, reliability, and quick wit, brings energy and accountability to the team. He enjoys CrossFit, tending to his plants and fish, or searching out his next favorite meal.
Jeannette Gemio
Accounts Manager
Jeannette is our accounts manager, handling receivables, payables, and behind-the-scenes support with ease. She got her start in bookkeeping while helping grow her husband’s remodeling business and now keeps things running smoothly at Legacy—from finances to tech help. She’s a steady and dependable presence who loves her family—and occasionally shares her homemade treats with the team!
